Formerly classified as Sansavierias, the so-called 'Snake Plant' or 'Mother-in-Law's Tongue' is now considered part of the genus Dracaena, and 'Fernwood' is one of the newest and perhaps nicest example of the group.  A hybrid of D. parva x D. suffruticosa, it's brightly banded narrow, rigid leaves that are tough and resistant to insects and disease, making it a great "nearly indestructible" plant for those who are seeking texture and color, as well!  Snake Plants can grow well in low light conditions, too, though they're happiest with at least some indirect lighting.
