Echeveria 'Blue Bird'

'Blue Bird' is one of our favorites of new Echeveria varieties.  Its beautiful silvery-blue leaves transform in fall and winter, gaining bright pink margins, so it's like getting two plants in one!  Neat rosettes of leaves feature a heavy coating of epicutular wax (a protective measure secreted by glands on the leaves, to help it endure full-strength, direct sunlight, which it prefers in order to keep its bright blueish appearance!)
