Hoya macrophylla is a widespread species native to the jungles of Vietnam, Borneo, Java, the Philippines, Malaysia, and surrounding regions.  It enjoys a coarse, well-drained soil mix and time to dry a little between thorough waterings.  Bright, indirect light will help maintain the red highlights on its leaves.  When it blooms, H. macrophylla produces abundant, tubular pink flowers ending in "starbursts" of waxy white and pink.  A very desirable Hoya for any collector!
