H. quinquanervia is native only to the island of Luzon in the Philippines.  This species enjoys plenty of water, due to its wet tropical jungle habitat, but also wants a loose, well-draining soil mix (like ST Hoya Mix.)  As an understory plant that grows as an epiphyte on tree trunks, t can tolerate a bit less light than some other Hoya species and still maintain the elegant sheen of its foliage.
