If you happen to be a hardcore Hoya-nut, you may know that there are two extremely similar, but slightly different, Hoyas named H. burtoniae and H. sp. aff. burtoniae. The primary difference from a morphological standpoint is the slight fuzzy texture of the H. sp. aff. burtoniae, versus the glaucous (smooth) leaves of H. burtoniae. While there's lot of genetic investigation still needed to untangle the two, it's likely in our humble-but-always-correct opinion that they'll be found to be variants of one species. At any rate, the evidence suggests our plants are H. burtoniae (the "sp. aff." part just means "a lot like H. burtoniae), and we're happy to offer this little gem to our planty friends! The roughly diamond-shaped leaves have inner variegation and sometimes complete leaves with cream, yellow, and peach shades, as well as fully deep-green ones. The midrib is prominent, and the plant is an easy scrambler/viner, requiring just bright indirect light (never full sun) and a good watering each time the soil goes mostly dry.
