'Frydek' has long been a favorite among Alocasia fans, due to its large, handsome shield-shaped leaves with symmetrical, jagged margins, reminiscent of a tribal mask.  This variegated form, though still rare, is a tremendous hit with customers.  Its marbled foliage adds an entire other level to the beauty of an already gorgeous plant!  Like all Alocasias, we keep these consistently moist, and pot up to larger quarters frequently as they grow.  A general foliage fertilizer works well to encourage best growth, and they enjoy what we like to call "bright shade" (in our nursery, they're grown  in bright, filtered sunlight, so they don't ever receive direct sun, but always have plenty of ambient light, helping to maintain their coloration.)
