Formerly classified as Sansavierias, the so-called 'Snake Plant' or 'Mother-in-Law's Tongue' is now considered part of the genus Dracaena, and 'Fernwood' is the newest and perhaps nicest example of the group.  With brightly banded narrow, rigid leaves that are tough and resistent to insects and disease, it makes a great "nearly indestructible" plant for those who are seeking texture and color, as well!  Snake Plants can grow well in low light conditions, too, though they're happiest with at least some indirect lighting.
