Also known as the Silver Dollar Plant, this member of the Cucurbitaceae (Cucumber family) is found only on the African island of Madagascar, where it naturally grows as a climber, often sending its vines high into the forest canopy in search of sunlight. As a result, it likes a decent amount of indirect light, and as it's a semi-succulent, it prefers regular watering, but always in a well-draining soil. Give it these basic conditions, and it will reward you with many thick strands of leathery, coin-shaped leaves!
